Hello and welcome. My name is Brian West and I live and work in Welling Kent. Kent, the garden of England and Welling is the bit of garden along the edge of the fence.

 I started woodturning as a pre retirement hobby in 2019 as I have enjoyed working with wood since my schooldays. Mostly self taught, watching you tube videos of professional and talented woodturners. I most enjoy saving timber from felled trees destined to be burnt and turning them into useful / decorative items.

I turn all sorts of objects depending on the season, ( Xmas decorations etc). Bowls, Boxes, Goblets, Decorative items etc and sometime where mood takes me. I'm a great believer in that the wood will let the turner know exactly what it wants to be as you start to turn it. Sometimes the plainest chunk of a tree trunk starts to reveal the most beautiful grain pattern and chatoyance, Hence my strapline " The Beauty in Wood"

I welcome commissions for "one off" bespoke items and the satisfaction of the customer is paramount.
